Cognitive-communication Disorder

Cognitive-communication disorders are problems with communication that have an underlying cause in a cognitive deficit. People with cognitive-communication disorders may have difficulties in listening, speaking, memory and problem-solving.

Possible signs

  • A decline in language comprehension and expression 

  • Struggles to pay attention, especially in a distracting environment.

  • Difficulty organizing thoughts 

  • Difficulty engaging in meaningful conversations

  • Quick shifts or overall changes in personality.
